Chopped Liver

Harris’s mother is responsible for this “famous” chopped liver recipe.  Harris claims his mother couldn’t have force fed  him chopped liver when he was younger, but he does occasionally get nostalgic for the Eastern European style foods that his mother used to cook and will crave one of her dishes, such as this chopped liver.


1lb chicken livers
6 med onions
¾ Stick Fleischman’s margarine (or butter)
Salt & pepper
1 tbs mayonnaise


  • Slice onions and cook until glazed then add livers and add salt & pepper.
  • When done put in blender adding 3/4 stick Fleischman’s margarine and 1tbs mayonnaise.

* Harris recommends using butter instead of margarine
