Jen Pehr


Jen is an Associate Principal at an international architecture and planning firm based in New York City, where she works as a master planner and urban designer. With masters degrees in both Urban Planning and Public Health from Columbia University, Jen has also done work in Ghana for the American Jewish World Service, in West Africa for United Nations’ Millennium Cities Initiative, and in India for the nonprofit Seva Mandir. She spent many years volunteering for Right Rides for Women’s Safety, has served on the steering committee for Opening Act, an after school theater program in NYC’s public schools and currently is a board member of Lab/Shul. Jen lives in Harlem with her husband Jon, where she cooks almost every night, makes Shabbat dinner whenever she is in town, and everyday, tries to wear a piece of her Grandma’s jewelry.
